Bringing Brooklyn's Bars To You

Mission Dolores [VIDEO TOUR]

Mission Dolores opened its doors (or should I say “garage” … more on that in a moment) on April 1, 2010. And it hasn’t taken long for this upstart — from the guys behind Bar Great Harry –  to create a buzz.

Mission Dolores is like Bar Great Harry on steroids. Like BGH (which, ironically, sounds like something Barry Bonds would “allegedly” inject into his arms), Mission Dolores has a vast array of fantastic beers on tap. (Beer nerd heaven? Check.) And like its sibling bar, Mission Dolores has pinball machines and is dog friendly. But where Mission Dolores flexes its metaphorical muscles is in its layout, as co-owners/brothers Ben and Mike Wiley had the foresight to take an old auto repair shop and turn it into a bar with a sunroof; open in the middle, covered in the front and back.

For a tour of Mission Dolores from co-owner Ben Wiley, check out the video above. For the nuts and bolts, scroll down.
